Text to Design: writing a prompt and using 'Improve prompt'

Design → Start designing includes a "Text to Design" panel where you describe a part in plain language and generate it. A little prompt craft goes a long way.

Writing a good prompt

Describe a single manufacturable part as concretely as you can. The CAD engine works best with prismatic and revolved shapes and absolute millimeter dimensions, so include real measurements where you have them. If you leave dimensions out, the system fills in missing values with disclosed assumptions rather than stopping to ask — it only asks when the description is too vague to identify a part at all.

Using 'Improve prompt'

The optional "Improve prompt" button runs CAD due diligence on your text: it picks one manufacturable part, fills in any missing dimensions, and discloses the assumptions it made. This turns a rough idea into a tighter, more buildable prompt before you commit to a generation. Use it whenever your description is loose or you are unsure what dimensions to provide.

Helpful extras

• An "I'm feeling lucky" button generates a part for you.
• Tab-to-accept ghost-text suggestions appear as you type and are aware of your current project.

Once your prompt looks right, click Generate. On the HIIE Engine this kicks off the free vision quality loop, which inspects the rendered result and refines it across passes before archiving the best one.
