The built-in flow templates and what each one does

Alongside flows you build yourself, HIIE ships a set of built-in, runnable flow templates. Each is a ready-made DAG you can run by id, and each injects the project's name and summary as context so the output is tailored to your project.

The templates

• How to begin — a starting-point flow to help you get a new project moving.
• Design & manufacture — the flagship template: a five-step sequence that goes idea → design → BOM → manufacturing handoff, chaining the design and manufacturing roles end to end.
• Expand idea — develops and broadens your initial concept.
• Find competitors — researches the competitive landscape for your project.
• Feasibility — assesses whether the project is workable.
• Business model — produces a SWOT-style business-model analysis.
• Generate design — kicks off design work for the project.

How they run

Each template auto-feeds every step its dependencies' outputs, so work compounds across the sequence — for example, the design step's output informs the BOM step in the design-and-manufacture flow. You run a template the same way as any flow: it streams live progress, saves labeled artifacts into your project folders, and records the run in the Runs table.

Templates vs. the display grid

Note that these runnable templates are distinct from the static "Templates" display grid you may see elsewhere in the Flows section (with tiles like "Idea → Manufacturable" or "Continuous price watch"). That grid is a presentational list; the genuinely runnable templates are the ones listed above. Likewise, the manufacturing handoff in these flows produces an AI-suggested sourcing plan, not catalog-verified parts.
